How long have you been a wedding photographer? How many weddings have you photographed?
This will be our third year photographing weddings. As of September 2011, we’ve shot 50+ weddings, nearly a hundred engagement sessions and countless other sessions (boudoir, maternity, baptisms, birthday parties, trash the dress sessions, baby and family portraits). We know our cameras well and love being behind the shutter.

Who is your second shooter?
My second shooter is my boyfriend Shawn. We’ve been shooting weddings together for three years but have been in a wonderful relationship for eight years. It’s great having him as my main second photographer because he knows me so well. He knows how I compose, how I see the shot, what I’m going for, and always tries to give me something different. All of this is unspoken and it’s like magic when I see what he’s come up with after an engagement session or wedding.
I’m interested in doing a boudoir session. Can I see more samples of your work?
This is a great question and one I receive all the time. Boudoir sessions are super fun and I love doing them! I don’t advertise this service much though and have been primarily booking through referrals. As you’ve probably noticed, I don’t post too many samples of my boudoir work at all. This is mainly to protect my clients’ privacy and keep their photos off the interwebs. However, I’ve done over 40 sessions to date so I have extensive experience in this area. Do you photograph other events such as baptisms, quinceaneras, vow renewals or birthday parties?
Our primary business focus is on weddings and engagement sessions but we’ll take other commissions occasionally when we have time in our schedules. Please contact me to check our availability!
What kind of equipment do you shoot with?
We are loyal Nikonians and have a plethora of full-frame SLRs, professional lenses, top-of-the-line flashes, and fancy editing software.
When will I receive my engagement and wedding photos?
I know how excited you must be to see your pictures! I spend countless hours editing each and every photo that I capture during my photo shoots so it normally takes me four weeks to edit engagement photos and up to eight weeks to finish processing wedding photos (especially during our peak wedding season between May-October).
What should I expect during an engagement session?
Advice from Shawn: Come ready to have fun! Don’t be afraid to follow Anna’s direction when she gives it, no matter how crazy it sounds. Trust me – she knows what she’s doing. Ignore all the people that might be starring at you two. They don’t know who you are and you’ll never see them again anyway. Work really hard at making the other person laugh. That’s really when we get the best images.
Do you do destination weddings?

You both look so young! How old are you two?
We’re in our late 20’s. Although we may look young, I always reassure my clients that our work and portfolio speaks for itself. I don’t think age matters when you’re comparing photographers’ images side by side.
What is your favorite thing about Shawn?
I love his sense of humor and how good-natured he is. My mom says he’s the calm in the middle of my storm. He grounds me. In every way.
Wow, you guys have been together for a long time. Any plans to tie the knot?
I hope so! But you have to ask Shawn when (or if) he’s going to pop the question.
When you guys get married, who will be your wedding photographer?
I have a couple of well established wedding pros and industry legends who I’d like to photograph my wedding. They’re super expensive (understandably) so I probably won’t share this till we can afford to book them or when we’re nearing our wedding date (which probably won’t happen until 2013). But again, Shawn has not proposed yet and I really don’t know when he’s going to do it. So no pressure Shawn!
